Waves for Education FOUNDATION
Consectetur Adipisicing Elit
- Help with the educational needs of the six schools where we surf located in the community of Playa Brasil, Guelaguichi, Sam Mateo del Mar, Playa Azul, Garrapatero and Sanjon.
- Provide educational opportunities for the kids of these communities
- Provide resources to allow for a better learning experience in the schools. Examples include better electrical wiring, fans to improve comfort, computers, supplies and other needs required for education.
- Set up scholarships for high school students to provide transportation from their town to Salina Cruz on a daily basis and yearly basis.
- Provide trade school opportunities for students that do not wish to attend high school. Examples include electrician, plumber, welder, and carpenter programs.
- Have career days in local schools and bring in guest speakers to speak about the importance of education. Speakers may include a nurse, doctor, lawyer, electrician, plumber , chef, hospitality, engineer…

We hope to receive funding and contributions from the surfers for the wonderful experience that comes with surfing the great waves in these communities and experiencing the great people of Playa Brasil, Guelaguichi, Oaxaca and the great country of Mexico.
The community will be involved in making this project sustainable for the future. too allow opportunities through education for the children who are our most precious resource.
Future goals

Provide scholarships for the high school students to allow them to attend high school in Salina Cruz $7/-$10/day transportation lunch uniforms books
Musical instruments
Sports equipment
Purchase Large TVs for the schools for group learning
-first aid and safety courses for the surf guides.
If you have old laptops tablets, iPads, cell phones please feel free to bring them down and we will make arrangements to get them to the schools.
